Atari OS ROM switcher

Simple OS ROM switcher for ATARI 8-bit 

• Device replaces original ATARI ROM chip 
• The chip has Atari XL OS and QMEG 4.04 programmed
• Active OS ROM is selected with Reset key during computer power on
• You can wire a jumper to select default the ROM image

How does it work?

After power on, initial Reset key state is stored in the device. If the Reset is not pressed, it selects first "half" of programmed flash memory. If it is pressed, then second OS ROM is loaded. If you want to change the ROM, power the computer off and power on again holding (or not) the Reset key.

Installation

• Remove original OS ROM chip and replace it with OS ROM switcher
• Connect a wire to reset signal on either side of component L14 on Atari PCB  - this is usually located next to keyboard connector. Here is location on Atari 800XL motherboard:
