Freddie Module

Freddie chip replacement for Atari 8-bit - requires SRAM MODULE, it will not work without it. You may also consider standalone version available here.

FEATURES

• Creates OSC clock (3.5X MHz) for GTIA (CLK_IN /4)
• PAL/NTSC independent
• Generates inverted CLK_O for some motherboard revisions
• CAS_IN for SRAM MODULE connector

STEP BY STEP:

• swap faulty Freddie chip with this module
• connect two wires to SRAM (CI and EXT)
• after powering on, CLK_OK LED shall be constantly on - it means we have nice square clock signal

Step by step instructions:

1. Fit SRAM replacement
2. Desolder Freddie
3. Fit VBXE
4. Connect VBXE J6 pin 1 (3.5MHZ) to OSC signal, available at hole in the PCB left after Fredie pin 37 or LS74 pin 3 or GTIA pin 28
   
5. Ready ;-)
