This is a small device connected to Atari Falcon's DSP port, which will allow switching DSP clock speed.

 

There are 3 positions:

  1. 44.1 (sets clock to 44.1 KHz)
  2. OFF (switch is not active, DSP uses Falcon's internal clock)
  3. 48 (sets clock to 48 KHz)

 

The switch is located at the back, and is secured against accidental switching.

 

Switching is fully electronic, mechanic switch is used only to control the circuits making actual switch. It is safe to switch the frequency when the Falcon is turned on. In worst case scenario, if switching when DSP is running, you will get a DSP timeout error (tested with FalcAmp).
